It is our pleasure to invite you to the 8th SmartRaCon Scientific Seminar (SRC8SS) in October 2026!

The Smart Rail Control Scientific Seminars (SRC-SS) are an important platform for scientific publications and discussions for the results of the Joint Undertakings Shift2Rail and Europe’s Rail as well as related research, innovation and development. The wide range of topics of Europe’s Rail from Traffic Management, Digital Automatic Train Operation over new Propulsion Systems up to innovative concepts like Pod-Based and Maglev-derived Systems are in the scope of conference. The target auditorium is from researchers, experts from supply industry and railways up to interested public. 

 

Important information

 The 8th event of the series, the SRC8SS, will take place the 14th and 15th October 2026 in Villeneuve d'Ascq (Uni. Eiffel, Campus de Lille, 20 rue E. Reclus, Villeneuve d'Ascq).
The venue is accessible by metro from Lille. Access to Lille is very convenient: 

  • from Paris
    • 1h train Paris Nord - Lille
    • 50 min from Paris CDG Airport by direct train to Lille (the CDG train station is in the airport)
  • from Brussels Midi Station by train (30 min)

 After acceptance received, download the templates to finalize your papers (no later than 5/10/2026): for poster or for full contribution.
